| Resumen en inglés | The purpose of this article is to study the multiplication of loaves and fishes miracle scene narrated by the four gospels of the New Testament. After briefly presenting the nature of the gospels, the main studies which involve them, and the history and features of the Greek dialect used in the composition of these texts (the koine or biblical Greek), the corpus is translated in order to recognize both the syntactic structures and lexicon used by the authors. In addition, the narrative categories of the miracle, namely, the history, the nar - rative, the characters, the time, the space, the focalization, and the narrator are briefly analyzed. Furthermore, the article focuses on the descriptive and comparative study of the direct and indirect speeches featured in the narra - tives, which has led to the conclusion that the direct speech takes a key role in organizing the scene as a whole, i. e., in the preservation of Christ’s speeches, in the constitution of the characters, and in the reconstitution of the miracle inside the narrative |
| Resumen en portugués | Este artigo tem como objeto de estudo a cena da multiplicação dos pães e peixes narrada pelos quatro evangelhos do Novo Testamento. Depois de apre - sentar sumariamente a natureza dos evangelhos, os principais estudos que os envolvem e a história e características do dialeto grego empregado na composição desses textos (o grego koiné ou bíblico), é traduzido o corpus , a fim de reconhecer as estruturas sintáticas e o léxico utilizado pelos autores. Soma-se a isso uma breve análise das categorias narrativas do milagre, que são a história, a narrativa, os personagens, o tempo, o espaço, a focalização e o narrador. Ademais, dedica-se atenção especial ao estudo descritivo e comparativo dos discursos direto e indireto que se configuram no interior das narrativas, chegando-se à conclusão de que o discurso direto assume papel fundamental no arranjo das impressões da cena como um todo, isto é, na preservação dos discursos de Cristo, na cons - tituição dos personagens e na reconstituição do milagre no interior da narrativa |
