| Resumen en portugués | O autor aborda o tema partindo do cenário da prática psicanalítica, circunscrevendo e articulando os principais conceitos para elaborar um saber sobre o percurso da análise pessoal e a direção do tratamento. Trabalha conceitos tais como o inconsciente, a associação livre do analisando, a escuta livre do analista, a transferência de amor e ódio, a pulsão, o recalque, o sintoma, o sujeito do inconsciente, as estruturas psíquicas borromeanamente constituídas, a resistência, o desejo do analista e a ética da psicanálise, a interpretação como ato analítico, a matemática de conjunto e o saber paradoxal como uma contradição lógica, a sobredeterminação simbólica do acaso, o sinthoma, a sublimação, o final de análise num cenário de inconscientes paradoxais |
