| Resumen en inglés | Wanting to express puzzlement that is experienced at the blank page when you try to start a brief in the field of discussion on ways to see the past, and unlikethe so-called scientific view of history, in these pages we sustain that narrative account of the past provides more plausibility, not only in the case of history, but also in literary fiction. Both views are not static, they are immersed in time, in them there is a common ground for understanding, among other things, there is no single view of the past, and there is evolution in the historical novel. We propose to state that it is difficult to maintein a rigid, inflexible concept of historical novel, because some of its characteristics change over time, as is the case with other notions. We dont" start from fixed categories, because, in this case, new ideas appear about something that was widely believed stable, but then, it is noted that it has changed. It is necessary to examine the concepts in the light of the present; it is about stating that in each era there are values that differentiate it from the others. Assuming also that there is no neutrality in the speech. |
| Resumen en español | En estas páginas exponemos que la forma narrativa de dar cuenta del pasado ofrece mayor credibilidad, no sólo en el caso de la ficción literaria, sino también en el de la historia. Ambas visiones no son estáticas, están inmersas en la historicidad y tienen un sustrato común que permite comprender, entre otras cosas, que no hay una sola visión del pasado. Nos proponemos manifestar que es difícil mantener un concepto rígido, inflexible de novela histórica, porque algunas de sus características cambian en el tiempo, como así sucede con otras nociones. No partimos de categorías fijas, porque en este caso, como en otros, aparecen nuevas ideas sobre algo que se creía de sobra conocido, pero luego resulta que lo que se pensaba invariable ha cambiado. Es necesario realizar el examen de conceptos a la luz del presente; se trata de plantear que en cada época hay valores que la diferencian de las otras, asumiendo también que no hay neutralidad en el discurso. |
