| Resumen en español | La visión en torno a la sociedad agraria de comienzos del siglo XX, a partir de una relación entre literatura e historiografía, es el tema de discusión del presente artículo. A partir de un análisis crítico de la obra del escritor chileno Luis Durand se puede constatar que el autor anticipa a problemáticas estudiadas posterioremente por la historiografía sobre la Araucanía. En ese sentido la obra de Durand fue pionera en la construcción de representaciones de los sujetos implicados en unasociedad fronteriza, pero con ciertaintencionalidad integracionista al Estado chileno, propósitomarcada por una naturalización de las desigualdades sociales a partir de factores de género, raza y clase |
| Resumen en inglés | The following article discusses the vision of agrarian society at the beginning of the 20th century, based on the relationship between literature and historiography. From a critical analysis of the literature of Luis Durand it can be seen that he anticipates problems that the historiography on the Araucania studied later. In this sense, Durand’s literature was a pioneer in the construction of representations of the subjects involved in the border society, but with an integrationistintentionality to the Chilean state and marked by a naturalization of social inequalities based on gender, race and class factors |
