| Resumen en español | En el año 2016, un total de 23 áreas protegidas en Colombia se clasifican como áreas con vocación ecoturística, este articulo describe las condiciones en que se desarrolla actualmente el ecoturismo y los requerimientos para su ejercicio; expone los diferentes impactos ambientales, socioculturales y económicos generados por actividades ecoturísticas e identifica -bajo el criterio de un grupo expertos representantes de diferentes entidades relacionadas con el sector turístico y las Áreas Protegidas- cómo las certificaciones de calidad turística y sostenibilidad ambiental otorgadas por adopción de las NORMAS NTS-TS y el Sistema de Gestión Ambiental bajo la NORMA ISO 14001, que en el año 2015 en esta industria, tendrían incidencia sobre el ambiente de las áreas protegidas |
| Resumen en inglés | In 2016, a total of 23 protected areas in Colombia were classified as areas with ecotourism aptitude; this work describes the conditions in which ecotourism is currently developed and the requirements for its practice; exposes the different environmental, sociocultural and economic impacts generated by ecotourism activities and identifies - under the criteria of a expert groups representing different organizations related to the tourism sector and the Protected Areas - how the certifications of touristic quality and environmental sustainability granted by adoption of NTS-TS STANDARDS and the Environmental Management System under ISO 14001, that in 2015 had impact on the environment of protected areas |
