| Resumen en español | En este trabajo se confirma que el área de distribución de Lygodium venustum incluye el noreste de la Argentina, a partir de la reciente colección de ejemplares en el Parque Provincial Moconá, provincia de Misiones, y de la identificación de material de herbario, que corroboran una antigua cita dudosa de esta especie. Este registro representa el límite austral de distribución de la especie. Se describen e ilustran los caracteres diagnósticos y se brinda una clave de identificación, así como material de referencia de las especies de Lygodium del Cono Sur de América. Se lectotipifican Lygodium venustum, L. pohlianum y L. palmatilobum, se sinonimiza a L. palmatilobum bajo Lygodium venustum. Se considera a Lygodium hastatum, L. palmatilobatum y L. potentilloides como nombres inválidos |
| Resumen en inglés | This paper confirms that the geographic range of Lygodium venustum includes north eastern Argentina, from the recent collection of specimens in the Provincial Park Moconá, Province of Misiones, and by the identification of herbarium material corroborating an ancient dubious citation of this species. This record represents the austral limit of the distribution of the species. Diagnostic characters are described and illustrated, and an identification key is provided, as well as reference material of Lygodium species from the Southern Cone of America. Lygodium venustum, L. pohlianum and L. palmatilobum are lectotypified and the last one is synonymized under Lygodium venustum. Lygodium hastatum, L. palmatilobatum and L. potentilloides are invalid names |
