| Resumen en español | Identificar las representaciones sociales de las prácticas formativas llevadas a cabo en el Carnaval de Barranquilla y la relación que éstas tienen con la salvaguardia de las tradiciones, se constituyen en el objetivo principal de la presente investigación. En el proceso metodológico se toma como población a la Danza del Congo por ser una de las más antiguas del Carnaval. Se hace uso de la etnografía y la teoría de las representaciones sociales para explicar la forma en que se transmiten las tradiciones a partir de la información de los sujetos, el campo de representación, la actitud y los mecanismos de objetivación y anclaje. La resistencia a la apropiación simbólica de lo tradicional y la tensión entre los intereses particulares de los jóvenes, los antecesores y la institucionalidad son, entre otras, las informaciones implícitas en las representaciones generadas en el desarrollo de las prácticas formativas de la Danza del Congo |
| Resumen en inglés | Identifying the social representations of the formative practices carried out in Barranquilla’s Carnival and the relationship that these have with the traditions, is the main goal of this research. In the methodological process, the “Congo” dance was takenas the population, because it is one of the oldest in the Carnival; ethnography and the theory of social representations are used to explain the way in which traditions are transmitted, based on the information of the participants; in the field of the representation, the attitude and the mechanisms of objectification and anchoring. The resistance to the symbolic appropriation of the traditional and the tension between the young people, the ancestors and the institutionality’s interests, are among others the information which is implicit in the representations created from the development of the teaching practices of the “Congo” dance |
