Resumen en inglés | This study aims at establishing values of correlation among different tests for anaerobic power (RAST test – in courts and fi eld; Wingate anaerobic test – horizontal and vertical jump) in young athletes from different sports modalities. The sample consisted of 159 athletes (57 of female(f) and 102 male (m)) distributed in these modalities: futsal (m/f), volleyball (m/f), soccer (m) and basketball (m). The data were collected with respect to height, weight, body fat percentile, results from the RAST tests (court and fi eld), horizontal and vertical jump test, and the 30-s Wingate anaerobic test. Descriptive procedures, correlation analysis (Pearson), and signifi cance levels were used, as well as the two-way analysis associated with Scheff´s post-hoc multiple comparisons test for of statistic F values. Results indicated a few differences among the variants for the different modalities in all types and values of correlation among the tests usually considered “excellent” (r = 0.90 the 0.99). We conclude that the data obtained statistically show that the RAST test (field) and the Wingate could be easily replaced by the RAST test (court) without losing the credibility in obtaining the essential measure for the training of the motor variant |
