| Resumen en inglés | The environment of UTI s is a place that generates stress and the professional that acts in this place requires care, therefore the result of the work depends on the team as a whole. Regularly circumstances appear that require that the therapists take decisions or carry through acts that involve legal questions or ethical conflicts. The objective of this study was to identify if the professional in the area of Physiotherapy applies its knowledge of its ethical formation in its professional exercise. A quant-qualitative study was carried through, transversal type survey, for in such a way, was applied a scale of attitudes to the physiotherapists who work in the UTI, of the hospital of the study. Two analyses of the results had been carried through: the first one, when the individuals had been analyzed individually 87% had gotten Favorable Attitude and only 13% observed it Indifference. When items of the scale had been analyzed separately, 60% got Favorable Attitude, 30% Favorable Attitude and 10% of Indifference, argued thus the importance of the education of the ethics in the formation of the health professionals, the professional ethics and the work in team, and the experience of the ethical references in the profession. Concluding, she is of utmost importance that has debates concerning the subject, either in the period of formation or during the practical professional so that thus it can have the respect to the life human being |
| Resumen en portugués | O ambiente das UTI’s é um lugar estressante e o profissional que atua nesse local requer cuidado, pois o resultado do trabalho depende da equipe multidisciplinar. Regularmente surgem circunstâncias que requerem que os terapeutas tomem decisões ou realizem atos que envolvam questões legais ou conflitos éticos. O objetivo deste estudo foi identificar se o profissional na área de Fisioterapia aplica seus conhecimentos de sua formação ética em seu exercício profissional. Foi realizado um estudo quanti-qualitativo, transversal tipo survey, para tanto, foi aplicado uma escala de atitudes aos fisioterapeutas que trabalham na UTI, do hospital do estudo. Foram realizadas duas análises dos resultados: a primeira, quando os indivíduos foram analisados individualmente 87% obtiveram Atitude Favorável e apenas 13% observou-se a Indiferença. Quando os itens da escala foram analisados separadamente, 60% obtiveram Atitude Favorável, 30% Atitude Desfavorável e 10% de Indiferença, discutido assim a importância do ensino da ética na formação dos profissionais de saúde, a ética profissional e o trabalho em equipe, e a vivência dos referenciais éticos na profissão. Concluindo, é de suma importância que haja debates acerca do tema, seja no período de formação ou durante a prática profissional para que assim possa haver o respeito à vida humana |
