| Spanish abstract | El presente artículo muestra cómo desde la consolidación de los Estados nacionales, políticos y negociantes utilizan la ciencia para beneficiar sus intereses. Asimismo, describe algunos de los horrores producidos durante el siglo XX por la ciencia al servicio de la guerra y pone el énfasis en la necesidad de que el siglo que inicia no los olvide para no correr el riesgo de repetirlos, así como en la urgencia de que el científico posea una ética que le permita resistir las amorales presiones del poder político y económico |
| English abstract | This article shows how since the consolidation of the national states, politicians and traders use science mainly to benefit their interests. It also describe some of the horrors produced during XXth century by science at the service of war, and emphasize the necessity of not forgetting them under the risk of repeating them, as well as the urgency for scientists to own an ethic code that allow them to resist the amoral pressures of the political and economic power |
