| Spanish abstract | El presente trabajo persigue dos objetivos: medir la desigualdad educativa en los municipios del estado de Guerrero con datos para el año 2015, utilizando para ello una adaptación del coeficiente de Gini y, a través de una matriz de correlación de Spearman, confirmar y cuantificar la relación entre dicha desigualdad y condiciones municipales como la prevalencia de población indígena, la dispersión de la población, el nivel de ingreso, las carencias en infraestructura y las carencias en el hogar. Los resultados sugieren la existencia de profundas brechas de desigualdad educativa entre los municipios del centro y la costa del Estado y aquellos ubicados en los límites con el estado de Michoacán y con el estado de Oaxaca; así también se confirma la influencia positiva de las variables seleccionadas, encontrándose el mayor poder explicativo en el porcentaje de población indígena, seguido de las carencias en el hogar y la dispersión de la población |
| English abstract | This paper has two objectives: to measure educational inequality in the municipalities of the state of Guerrero with data for 2015, using an adaptation of the Gini coefficient, and, through a Spearman correlation matrix, to confirm and quantify the relationship between educational inequality and municipal conditions such as the prevalence of the indigenous population, the dispersion of the population, the income level, the deficiencies in infrastructure and the shortcomings at home. The results suggest the existence of deep gaps of educational inequality between the municipalities of the center and the coast of the state and those located in the limits with the state of Michoacán and with the state of Oaxaca; also, it was confirmed the positive influence of the selected variables, finding the largest impact in the percentage of indigenous population, the shortages at home and the dispersion of the population |
