| English abstract | This article deals with the relationship between the Marquis of Pombal and the Portuguese nobility, taking as an example the House represented by the second Marquis of Lavradio. The analysis favors a perspective of mediation rather than conflict, thus opposing the most traditional view of historiography which emphasizes the misunderstanding between the Marquis of Pombal and the highborn nobility |
