| Spanish abstract | Los debates en torno a la periodización de la historia de la literatura han constituido una preocupación recurrente entre historiadores de la literatura y críticos literarios. La problemática ha girado en torno al reconocimiento de unos u otros períodos, a la denominación de los mismos, a los criterios utilizados a la hora de su establecimiento, a las connotaciones positivas o negativas con frecuencia atribuidas a ellos, a la inclusión o exclusión de distintos autores como representantes de unos y otros, y a las tensiones en términos de relaciones de poder diversas (lingüísticas, nacionales, étnicas, de género y raza) sobre los que se sustenta el fenómeno de la periodización en sí mismo |
| English abstract | The debates around the periodisation of the history of literature have constituted a recurrent concern among historians of literature and literary critics alike. The controversy has revolved around the acknowledgement of certain periods as such, the denomination of the same, the criteria employed to establish them, the positive or negative connotations that have been traditionally attributed to them, the inclusion or exclusion of specific authors as representatives of certain periods, and the tensions in terms of power relations of different kinds (linguistic, national, ethnic, of gender and race) upon which the phenomenon of periodisation itself is sustained |
