| Spanish abstract | El artículo revisa las principales características del romancero histórico hispano, formado por breves composiciones poéticas de los siglos XV y XVI sobre algunos momentos representativos de la historia española, para analizar en él los elementos de continuidad que vinculan a los romances con la tradición literaria clásica. La hipótesis plantea que, aunque se trata de un género particular que surgió de circunstancias específicas, el romancero histórico se enmarca en un contexto literario más amplio, aquel de la literatura antigua y de la tradición clásica, que ofreció códigos, técnicas y tópicos para la poética de aventuras y epopeyas |
| English abstract | The paper reviews the main characteristics of the Spanish historical romancero, formed by brief poetic compositions from the 15th and 16th centuries on some representative moments of Spanish history, in order to analyze the elements of continuity that link romances with the classical literary tradition. The hypothesis proposes that, althought it is a particular genre that emerged in specific circumstances, the historical romancero is framed in a broader literary context: that of ancient literatura and Classical tradition, which offered codes, techniques and topics for the poetic of adventures and epics |
