| Spanish abstract | El presente escrito busca retomar la invitación a estudiar y actualizar el aporte de los Padres de la Iglesia para el quehacer teológico hoy. Dicha labor exige asumir la interdisciplinariedad en su modalidad auxiliar y explicitar el método, dada la complejidad de elementos implicados en el estudio de la antigüedad cristiana. Para dinamizar el diálogo interdisciplinario, la hermenéutica ricoeuriana ofrece un horizonte particular que favorece dicho diálogo, y permite comprender mejor el alcance del legado de los Padres y la actualización del sentido del mismo en el quehacer teológico de nuestros días |
| English abstract | This article seeks to recapture the invitation to study and to update the contribution of the Parents of the Church for the current theological labor. That demands to assume the interdisciplinary task in its auxiliary form and to make its method more explicit, considering the complexity of elements involved in the study of the Christian antiquity. To invigorate the interdisciplinary dialogue, Ricoeur's hermeneutics offers a particular horizon that favors it, and allows to get to a better comprehension of the scope of the Parents' legacy and the update of its meaning in the theological labor nowadays |
