| Spanish abstract | Este artículo examina la novela turca Gizli Emir (La orden secreta), de Melih Cevdet Anday, incluida entre las Novelas del 12 de Marzo, nombre con que se conoce a las obras escritas a raíz del golpe de Estado turco de esa fecha en el año 1971, y aunque fue publicada un año antes, resultó profética en su contexto sociopolítico. Este artículo hace patente cómo el autor pudo examinar la situación turca sin necesidad de mencionar a los personajes, los partidos políticos, e incluso los topónimos del país, y cómo empleó este recurso para crear un ambiente y un atractivo universales que no se limitan a la condición de la Turquía de aquel momento |
| English abstract | This article examines Melih Cevdet Anday’s novel Gizli Emir (The Secret Order), as a work which can be categorized under the rubric of the March Twelfth Novels, the novels written as a result of the Turkish coup d’État of 12 March, 1971. Published a year before the coup, it was a prophetic novel in its socio-political context. This article makes clear how the author was able to examine the Turkish situation without mentioning the political figures and parties by name, or even the toponyms of the country, and how he used this resource to create a more universal work and give it an appeal not limited to the situation of Turkey at that time |
