| Spanish abstract | Directores de cine han recreado la figura de Colón y los tiempos de su epopeya para mostrar los pasajes clave de su gloriosa hazaña y los más escabrosos de su vida. Mediante planteamientos escenográficos e ideológicos, los filmes giran en torno a dos posturas divergentes: los que transmiten una visión idealizada del genovés y su gesta, y aquellas producciones más recientes —como Christopher Columbus: the discovery (1992) o También la lluvia (2010)— que tienen una postura crítica hacia la figura del genovés y los personajes que lo acompañaron |
| English abstract | Film directors have recreated the character of Columbus and the times of his venture, showing both the highpoints of his glorious deed and his darkest days. By means of scenographic and ideological approaches, the films present two divergent stances: while some of them convey an idealized version of the Genoese and his journey, the latest productions—Christopher Columbus: the Discovery (1992) or También la lluvia (2010)—are more critical of the Genoese and the people who followed him |
