| Spanish abstract | Se realizó un estudio histológico del tubo digestivo de machos de Passalus (Pertinax) punctatostriatus Percheron, 1835. Los organismos fueron recolectados en el parque Natura, Xalapa, Veracruz, México, en marzo de 2009. Las muestras se colocaron en frascos de plástico con ventilación y se transportaron vivos al laboratorio para su disección; se midieron la longitud total y por regiones de los tubos digestivos. Cada sección se procesó por medio de la técnica histológica de rutina, tiñendo con hematoxilina y eosina. Anatómicamente el tubo digestivo de P. punctatostriatus presenta las tres regiones que se han observado en los insectos, en los cortes histológicos destacan la presencia de papilas en la región del mesodeo y de espinas e hifas en el ileum del proctodeo |
| English abstract | This paper is a histological study of the digestive tube of males of Passalus (Pertinax) punctatostriatus Percheron, 1835. Organisms were collected from Parque Natura, Xalapa, Veracruz, Mexico on March of 2009. The samples were transported alive in plastic flasks with ventilation to the laboratory for the dissection process; the total length and by sections of the digestive tube was taken, each zone was processed through the histological technique, wich was done dying with hematoxiline and eosine. Anatomically the digestive tube of P. punctatostriatus presents the three regions that had been observed in insects, in the histology stands out the presence of papilla in de midgut region and of spines and fungi in the ileum portion of the hidgut |
