| Spanish abstract | Se presentan e ilustran las Orchidaceae Juss. que habitan en el distrito Salpo, prov. Otuzco, región La Libertad, Perú. El estudio está basado en las recolecciones efectuadas por los autores principalmente, en la revisión de material de herbario (F, HAO, HUT, MO), y en la contrastación con las especies documentadas en estudios oficiales de la flora peruana. Se ha registrado a once especies: Aa mathewsii (Rchb. f.) Schltr., Altensteinia fimbriata Kunth, Chloraea septentrionalis M. N. Correa (endémica), Chloraea undulata Raimondi ex Colunga (endémica), Cranichis longipetiolata C. Schweinf., Cyrtochilum aureum (Lindl.) Senghas, Oncidium deltoideum Lindl. (endémica), Porphyrostachys pilifera (Kunth) Rchb. f., Pterichis galeata Lindl., Stelis tricardium Lindl. y Trichoceros platyceros Rchb. f., de estas, tres son endémicas. Se distribuyen entre los 8°00’790”-8°00’36,4” S y 78°41’463”-78°36’08,2” W y desde los 1480 hasta los 3696 m de elevación. Todas las especies presentan algún grado de amenaza, ya sea debido a la expansión demográfica, ampliación de la frontera agrícola, la quema indiscriminada, el sobrepastoreo o a la minería informal; las que continúan avanzando aceleradamente, y en un tiempo muy cercano se destruirán su hábitat natural y sus poblaciones existentes, trayendo como consecuencia su desaparición en estas áreas geográficas. | English abstract | Orchidaceae Juss. that inhabit in Salpo District, Otuzco Province, La Libertad Region, Peru, are presented and illustrated. The study is based on the collections carried out mainly by the authors, on the revision of herbarium material (F, HAO, HUT, MO) and by contrasting documented species in official studies of the Peruvian flora. We registered eleven species: Aa mathewsii (Rchb.f.) Schltr., Altensteinia fimbriata Kunth, Chloraea septentrionalis M.N. Correa, Chloraea undulata Raimondi ex Colunga, Cranichis longipetiolata C. Schweinf., Cyrtochilum aureum (Lindl.) Senghas, Oncidium deltoideum Lindl., Porphyrostachys pilifera (Kunth) Rchb.f., Pterichis galeata Lindl., Stelis tricardium Lindl. and Trichoceros platyceros Rchb.f. They are distributed between 8°00’790”-8°00’36.4” S and 78°41’463”-78°36’08.2” W, from 1480 to 3696 m of altitude. All these species have a degree of threat because of the demographic expansion, the agricultural expansion, slash and burn, overgrazing and informal mining, which continue rapidly advancing and in short time their natural habitats and existing populations would be destroyed, carrying as a consequence their disappearance in this geographical area.
