| English abstract | From 1917 to 1920 the tone of theatrical production in Mexico was markedly different from the incisive- ness and wit of five years earlier. It assumed a more restrained, moderate approach, stemming from the convic- tion that the political restructuring process would ultimately lead to the pacification of the revolution. By reviewing the years prior to the signing of the Constitution and those following it, readers will find keys to what was happening in popular Mexican theater from 1913 to 1920 |
