| Resumen en español | En este artículo se trabajanlasinsuficiencias en el cumplimiento de la función educativa porlasfamiliasde escolares con necesidades educativas especiales de tipo intelectual. Este estudio se realizó en una escuela especial del municipio Yateras. En él se establece como objetivo, evaluar el comportamiento de esta función en el referido territorio. La investigación se efectuócon 125familias que poseen hijos en la escuela Salvador García Agüero de Palenque en el municipio mencionado. Se consideran también los 146 niños que asisten al centro docente en cuestión y son sus hijos. De ellos se extrajeronlasmuestras. La pesquisa permitió obtenerelementos que denotan la existencia de problemáticas que entorpecen la laboreducativa de la familia. Cuestión que favoreció el estudio diagnóstico descriptivo para precisar los aspectos que están afectando el normal funcionamiento de la familia.Esto ayudóal conocimiento de la situación real,como premisa para direccionar el trabajo del sistema escolar hacia el mejoramiento deldesarrollointegralde dichos niños |
| Resumen en inglés | In this article the insufficiencies in the fulfillment of the educative function by the families of schoolchildren with special educational needs of intellectual type are studied. This study was carried out in a special school of Yateras municipality. It establishes as objective, to evaluate the behavior of this function in the aforementioned territory. The research was carried out with 125 families who have children in the Salvador García Agüero de Palenque school in the mentioned municipality. The 146 children who attend the teaching center in question and are their children are also considered. From them the samples were extracted. The research allowed to obtain elements that denote the existence of problems that hinder the educational work of the family. Question that favored the descriptive diagnostic study to specify the aspects that are affecting the normal functioning of the family. This helped the knowledge of the real situation, as a premise to direct the work of the school system towards the improvement of the integral development of said children |
