| Spanish abstract | La grandeza de la Universidad depende de sus profesores, son ellos quienes la definen, la componen, la mantienen viva y vigente; son la clave en el proceso educativo. El involucramiento del profesor puede definirse como su grado de compromiso y entusiasmo para llevar a cabo su labor docente y como miembro de la institución educativa en general; éste, va mucho más allá de promover las actividades del campus, debe creer en ellas y querer participar. Toda institución de educación superior (IES) debe buscar la manera para poder involucrar al profesor en la vida universitaria, y para asegurarse que permanezca involucrado: a que se sumerja, la sienta, la viva. Las IES deben contar con un cuerpo de profesores universitarios que estén involucrados. Un trabajo que parte de su involucramiento finalmente brindará satisfacción y de ésta nacerá la motivación |
| English abstract | The greatness of the University depends of its faculty, they are who define it, who compose it, who keep it alive and up to date; they are the key to the educational process. Faculty engagement can be defined as their compromise and enthusiasm rate to carry on their teaching work and as members of an educational institutional in general; this engagement goes far beyond of promoting campus’ activities, they must believe in them and to want to participate. Every Higher Education Institution (HEI) must seek the way to engage faculty on university’s life, and to assure that they remain engaged: to be submerged and for them to live the College experience to the top, to be engaged. A work that parts from their engagement will finally bring satisfaction, and from this, the motivation will be born |
