| English abstract | This article proposes to investigate the functioning of joint attention in the interaction mother-blind child. Based in socio-cognitive perspective, proposed by Tomasello (2003), we conducted a longitudinal investigation, in which we filmed daily interactions occurred with this dyad in the home environment for approximately one year. Our data revealed that scenes of joint attention constitute privileged moments for the entry of the child in the language and that the functioning of joint attention in blind child occurs with the inclusion of touch and in the voice, which serves as primary resources for the inserction of the child in the language |
| Portuguese abstract | Este artigo propõe investigar o funcionamento da atenção conjunta na interação mãe/criança cega. Com base na perspectiva sociocognitiva, proposta por Tomasello (2003), realizamos uma investigação longitudinal, na qual filmamos interações cotidianas ocorridas com essa díade no ambiente domiciliar no período de aproximadamente um ano. Nossos dados revelaram que cenas de atenção conjunta constituem momentos privilegiados para a aquisição da linguagem pela criança e que o funcionamento da atenção conjunta com a criança cega ocorre pela inclusão do toque e da voz, recursos primordiais para a inserção da criança na linguagem |
