| Spanish abstract | Este artículo de reflexión presenta dos aspectos importantes por tener en cuenta en el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje en ingeniería. Uno es la formación técnica, la cual está relacionada con el orden adecuado de las ideas para transferir el conocimiento, la elaboración del material didáctico en el que se define qué se enseña y cómo se debe enseñar y, finalmente, el estilo de la comunicación. El otro aspecto es el humano, que también debe estar presente, dado que se trabaja con seres que sienten, se cansan, tienen limitaciones y sobre todo tienen el sueño de alcanzar sus objetivos y metas. Este artículo es el resultado de más de 25 años de experiencia enseñando principalmente en el Programa de Ingeniería Eléctrica de la Escuela de Ingeniería Eléctrica de la Universidad del Valle . Durante este tiempo he comprendido que si bien los estudiantes deben contar con fortaleza matemática, disciplina de estudio y perseverancia para aprender los temas que se imparten, también los docentes debemos esforzarnos para enseñar con calidad académica, de forma amena y con amor. Los resultados de esta forma de enseñanza se pueden medir en la motivación de los estudiantes, su participación en clase con un nivel alto en sus preguntas, su grado de compromiso con la materia, su evaluación sobre el curso y el profesor y espeialmente el buen ambiente en que se desarrollan las clases. Recordemos que trabajamos con seres humanos jóvenes y únicos, por lo tanto sus condiciones económicas, familiares y tipos de inteligencia varían en cada uno de ellos. Tener en cuenta estos aspectos al elaborar la clase, al transmitirla, al asignar los trabajos y realizar las evaluaciones, es lo que permite que los estudiantes disfruten con el aprendizaje y aprendan a amar el conocimiento |
| English abstract | This reflective paper presents two important aspects to consider in the process of teaching and learning in engineering. One aspect is the technical training, which is related to the proper order of ideas to transfer knowledge, production of educational materials defined where issues are going to teach and how they should teach and finally, style of communication. The other aspect is the human, which must also be present, because we work with human beings who feel, tired, have limitations and above all have the dream of achieving their objectives and goals. This article is the result of over 25 years of experience teaching mainly in the curriculum of Electrical Engineering, School of Electrical Engineering of the Valle University xxxxxxx. During this time, I have learned that although students should have strong math, study discipline and perseverance to learn the subjects taught; also teachers must strive to teaching with academic quality, in an entertaining and love. The results of this form of education can be measured in student motivation, participation in class with a high level questions, their level of commitment to the subject, his assessment on the course and the teacher and especially the good atmosphere in which classes are developed. Recall that we work with young humans and unique, so their economic, family and intelligence types vary in each. Consider these aspects when developing the class, pass it by assigning the work and perform the evaluations, which allows students to enjoy learning and learn to love knowledge |
