| Spanish abstract | El hemangioma verrugoso es una malformación vascular congénita, poco común y habitualmente localizada. Predomina en las extremidades inferiores, inicialmente tiene aspecto macular, rojiza o rojo-azulada, de crecimiento proporcional al resto del cuerpo, con el tiempo adquiere un aspecto verrugoso. No involuciona espontáneamente. El tratamiento de elección es quirúrgico, sin embargo se presenta recidiva hasta en un 30% de los casos. Comunicamos el caso de una paciente de 10 años de edad, quien recibió tratamiento quirúrgico |
| English abstract | Verrucous haemangiomas are uncommon, localized vascular malformations, usually involve the lower extremities; present at birth, usually have stain-like appearance and proportionate growth, gradually acquire a warty surface. They fail to regress spontaneously. The treatment of choice is surgical, but it has been reported recurrence in 30% of the cases.
