| Spanish abstract | Recientemente la Corte Interamericana de Derechos Humanos se vio enfrentada a un escenario poco común. Después de haber fallado que ciertas personas habían muerto en una masacre, algunas de ellas aparecieron vivas. Este error fue motivado, en parte, por un perjurio, y dio lugar a la presentación de un recurso de revisión. La Convención Americana sobre Derechos Humanos (CADH) no establece explícitamente si procede o no admitir un recurso de este tipo. Ella sólo dispone en su artículo 67 que el fallo de la Corte es «definitivo e inapelable». Sin embargo, esto no obliga a declarar inadmisible la revisión, según se verá en este trabajo |
| English abstract | Recently, the Inter-American Court of Human Rights faced an uncommon scenario. Having ruled that certain people were killed in a slaughter, some of them appeared alive. This error was motivated, in part, by perjury, and led to the filing of a petition for review. The American Convention on Human Rights (ACHR) does not explicitly state whether or not to admit a resource of this type. It only provides in Article 67 that the Court's decision is "final and conclusive". However, this does not require declaring the revision inadmissible, as it will be seen in this work |
