English abstract The purpose of this article is to design a profile for the feminine, in a diachronic point-of-view of the feminine representations in the plastic and literry arts, from the first sculptural feminine manifestations in the Pre-History, precisely in the Paleolithic nad the Neolithic periods, and its development in the Cretan, Minoan and Greek arts. Afterwards this article will contemplate the Jewish-Christian view which proposesa redefinition for the feminine from the representations of the Virgin Mary and somefemale saints; finalizing with the view of the feminine composed by the Young heroines of the Wonderful Tales and the Pink Novels, both of European origin
Portuguese abstract A proposta deste artigo é delinear um perfil para o feminino em uma leitura diacrônica das representações femininas na literatura e nas artes plásticas, partindo das primeiras manifestações escultórias do feminino na Pré-história, mais exatamente nos períodos Paleolítico e Neolítico, e seu desdobramento nas artes cretense, minóica e grega e em seguida contemplar a face judaicocristã, que propõe uma “redefinição” para o feminino a partir das representações da Virgem Maria e de algumas santas; finalizando com a visão do feminino composta pelas jovens heroínas dos contos maravilhosos e dos romances cor-de-rosa, ambos de origem européia
