Spanish abstract El propósito de esta investigación, es dar a conocer y recuperar desde un enfoque socioeducativo la experiencia de un modelo de educación popular que se articuló con las formas tradicionales de organización comunitaria e identidad étnica del grupo indígena Otomí-Hñahñú en Valle del Mezquital. Es dar cuenta de la orientación autogestiva que le dio cuerpo a una identidad colectiva renovada. La temática abordada tiene que ver con tres ejes fundamentales: educación, identidades indígenas y alternativas educativas desde lo local, pensando lo global; ello bajo el techo conceptual del Capital Social Comunitario. Partimos de una serie de hipótesis provocantes para poder entrar en debate. De manera puntual, nos concentraremos en los cambios culturales construidos históricamente en su espacio matrilocal; abrevando en las tradiciones fenomenológicas y más aun en la experiencia del actor como lugar privilegiado para el análisis y la comprensión de la vida social. Así pensado, el sujeto y los procesos de subjetivación (entendidos aquí como la apropiación e interpretación que realizan los actores sociales de las condiciones objetivas del mundo) no representa solo un tema, sino que constituye un enfoque, un lugar desde dónde interrogar lo social
English abstract The purpose of this research is to make known and recuperate, from a social educative approach, the experience of a popular education model that was articuleted wiith the traditional community organizational formand ethnical identy of the indigenous group Otomí-Hñahñú in the Mezquital Valley. To give on account of the self management orientation that gave body to a renovated collective identity. The subject matter approached has to do with three fundamental axes: education, indigenous identities and educational alternatives from local, thinking global; under the conceptual ceiling of the Community Social Capital. We set out from a series of provocative hypothesis to be able to enter the debate. Specifically, we will concentrate in the cultural changes historically constructed in its matrilocal space; watering in the phenomenological traditions and even more in the experience of the actor as a privileged place for the analysis and the understanding of the social life. Thought out like this, the subject and the subjectivation (understood here as the appropriation and interpretation that social actors carry out of the objective conditions of the world) process, does not represent only one theme but constitutes an approach a place from where to interrogate the social
