English abstract The article examines the need of a new approach to the study of Africa based on a new perspective, different from the predominant in International Relations, characterized by an Eurocentric approach, and invites use to open up new theoretical possibilities in order to understand Africa. It proposes the idea that human being are bound to his fellows, is not isolated or independent, and seeks a permanent equilibrium and interdependence. In this regard, it stresses that one of the foundations of the “African way of life” is the communion with nature, very different from West’s one. The conclusions are oriented toward the search of explanatory efforts which come directly from inner Africa, without ruling out the opinions from outside, but trying to build a framework to address the concerns and needs of African societies
