| Spanish abstract | El artículo constituye una reflexión sobre las causas de la crisis economico financiera y el papel de las organizaciones internacionales institucionales, como FMI y Banco Mundial, y "no institucionales", como los foros de governanza global con estructura flexible (G8 y G20). En particular, analiza algunas propuestas de nueva regulación financiera internacional y de las reformas todavía necesarias para el establecimiento de un estándar de regulación del sector financiero internacional y, en lo que concierne a la estructura y el papel de las instituciones fundadas en Bretton Woods que, en la época actual, parecen necesitar de una profunda reforma, con el objetivo de actualizar el papel de las mismas y prevenir nuevas crisis |
| English abstract | This article proposes a review of the factors originating the economic and financial global crisis and a review of the role of international organizations (International Monetary Fund and World Bank); furthermore it provides a review of the role of the global governance summits such as the G8 and the G20. The article particularly focus on the purposes of a new regulation of the international financial sector and on the reforms that the post crisis agenda requires, concerning the new regulation and the new role of the Bretton Woods international institutions that nowadays should be deeply reformed in order to modernize their role and to avoid the risk of new crisis in the future |
