| Spanish abstract | El soneto XXIV de Garcilaso de la Vega tiene, entre otros sentidos, el de la alegoría erótica. Presenta al poeta diciendo que va a subir las aguas de su río hasta las alturas donde está una dama. Diversos mitos de fundación, incluyendo algunas versiones de la leyenda del caballero de Olmedo, y canciones folclóricas utilizan esas mismas metáforas, con sentido erótico. También utilizaron metáforas parecidas otros poetas como Jorge Manrique |
| English abstract | Garcilaso de la Vega's sonnet XXIV is, in some aspects, an erotic allegory. It shows the poet's promise of rising the waters of his river to the heights of a lady. Some foundation myths, including several versions of the legend of the Caballero de Olmedo, and many folk songs, employ this kind of metaphors, with an erotic significance. Some other poets such as Jorge Manrique have used similar metaphors as well |
