| Spanish abstract | El presente estudio pretende abordar el contexto cultural contemporáneo para analizar las operaciones discursivas en la narrativa venezolana de finales de siglo XX y principios del siglo XXI. Ante una realidad compleja e hipersegmentada se manifiesta un discurso diferente, representado en la literatura mediante procedimientos narrativos (el tratamiento del narrador, el tiempo, espacio, la temática y el lenguaje), los cuales asumen la capacidad de organizar tantas realidades distintas o universos como sean posibles. Las historias múltiples, como procedimiento narrativo, son una construcción polifónica de historias fragmentadas que se entrecruzan y despliegan un microcosmos narrativo, una acción mínima que integradas pueden conformar un macrocosmos. Con la reescritura de la historia, se plantea la combinación entre la documentación histórica y la invención mimética, con ello, la relativización de la historia misma, un juego entre las fronteras de la verdad y de la ficción. | English abstract | This study attempts to approach the contemporary cultural context in order to analyze the discursive operations in Venezuelan narrative of the end of the XX century and beginnings of XXI century. In view of a complex and hypersegmented reality, a different discourse manifests itself. Such discourse is represented in literature by means of narrative procedures (narrator treatment, time, space, theme and language), which assume the capacity of organizing as many different realities or universes as possible. Multiple stories, as narrative procedure, involves a polyphonic construction of fragmented stories that intertwine and display a narrative microcosm, minimum actions that, once integrated, can shape a macrocosm. With history rewriting a combination of historic documentation and mimetic invention is stated, and so is the relativization of history itself: a game of the borderlines between truth and fiction. The works of Torres, Antillano, and Vegas are reviewed |
