| Spanish abstract | Se analizó la novela El lugar de la inmortalidad, del mexiquense Gustavo Guerrero, desde la propuesta teórica del psicoanálisis. Por medio de los planteamientos de Jacques Lacan se demostró cómo dos realidades distintas —la historia discursivizada y el relato onírico presentes en el texto— se confrontan y entrecruzan constantemente, diálogo que se ve reforzado con la presencia de diversas relaciones dicotómicas entre significantes y significados (‘pasado’ / ‘presente’; ‘vida’ / ‘muerte’; ‘día’ / ‘noche’; ‘luz’ / ‘oscuridad’; ‘sueño’ / ‘vigilia’; ‘paz’ / ‘guerra’). Finalmente, a partir de la observación de figuras retóricas como la metáfora y la metonimia se estableció un paralelismo entre el proceso del sueño y la construcción del discurso ficcional |
| English abstract | The novel El lugar de la inmortalidad, by Gustavo Guerrero (State of Mexico), is analyzed from the theoretical approach of psychoanalysis. Through the Jacques Lacan’s standpoints, we will see how two different realities —Discursive story and dreamlike tale, both present in the text— they constantly confront and overlap each other, this dialogue is enhanced by the presence of different dichotomous relationships between signifier and meanings (‘past’ / ‘present’; ‘life’ / ‘death’; ‘day’ /‘night’; ‘light’ / ‘darkness’; ‘dream’ / ‘wakefulness’; ‘peace’ / ‘war’). Finally, from the observation of rhetorical figures as the metaphor and the metonymy, a parallelism is established between the process of dream and the construction of fiction discourse |
