| English abstract | This paper undertakes a conceptual analysis of perspectivism and hermeneutics. We provide a brief outline of how both notions were built throughout the history of philosophy and, in a second moment, we show how they both operate in Paul Ricoeur’s philosophy, under the aegis of the conflict of interpretations. Finally, based on the dialectics between belonging and distancing found in the Ricoeurian hermeneutics, we advocate the development of a radical hermeneutics that deepens the distancing pole to its ultimate consequences, thereby bringing the hermeneutic project closer to critical theory |
| Portuguese abstract | Este artigo tem como objetivo levar a cabo uma análise conceptual que clarifique as noções de perspectivismo e hermenêutica. São fornecidas algumas indicações de carácter histórico sobre a forma como ambas as noções foram sendo construídas ao longo da história da filosofia e, num segundo momento, mostra- -se como ambas operam na filosofia de Paul Ricoeur, sob a égide do conflito de interpretações. Finalmente, partindo da dialética entre pertença e distanciação que encontramos na hermenêutica ricoeuriana, argumenta-se a favor do desenvolvimento de uma hermenêutica radical que aprofunde o polo da distanciação até às suas últimas consequências e que, por essa via, aproxime o projeto hermenêutico da teoria crítica |
