| English abstract | The aim of this paper is to present the ethics of Ricoeur, whose thread is the question of otherness, which plays a central role in the Aristotelian concept of friendship. Secondly, Kant’s moral is the guarantee that the other is treated as a person and not as a thing. In this context, it is up to the practical wisdom the task of balancing deontology and teleology, seeking to safeguard the individuality of the other when it is when it is jeopardized by the universal imperative. Finally, one must acknowledge that phenomenology has the merit of having brought the problem of the other to the forefront of philosophical discussion |
| Portuguese abstract | O objetivo deste artigo é apresentar a ética de Ricoeur, tendo como fio condutor a questão da alteridade, que assume um papel central já no conceito aristotélico de amizade. Em segundo lugar, a moral kantiana representa a garantia de que o outro seja tratado como pessoa e não como coisa. Neste contexto, cabe à sabedoria prática a tarefa de equilibrar a deontologia com a teleologia, buscando salvaguardar a individualidade do outro quando esta fica ameaçada pela universalidade do imperativo. Por fim, será preciso reconhecer que a fenomenologia tem o mérito de ter elevado o problema do outro ao primeiro plano da discussão filosófica |
