English abstract Tourism related activities has experienced a considerable boom in recent decades, presenting exponentially-growing figures and no signal of stopping. In this sense, it can be considered one of the main economic activities, mainly for its ability to generate wealth. Among the most important types of tourism, and probably the least studied, is the city tourism, also called urban tourism. Cities concentrate human activity and have become economic, political and social centers. Consequently, they have been equipped with recreational spaces that constitute a unique heritage. Transportation and communications play a critical role in the access and enjoyment of these spaces. The development of sustainable mobility policies may promote accessibility and easy commuting of tourists while discover the main attractions of city. That is why the participation of the Public Administration is essential, becoming Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans (SUMP) in the key tool to integrate all the efforts in this direction. In this work, the SUMP of eight Spanish and Latin American cities have been analyzed to verify the extent of implementation of actions of sustainable mobility. The criteria to select these actions is their importance for the development of urban tourism. One of the main conclusions is that, although different sustainable mobility-oriented actions are implemented, there is an absence of an explicit reference to their support to tourism activities
