| English abstract | this article examines the institutionalized discourse of journalism from the perspective of their social legitimacy. Given the crisis that this activity is due to, in particular, the inclusion of new producers of information on the Internet, eliminating thus the mediation of journalists, the field seeks to reassert itself with distinctive elements. These elements, such as commitments to truth and independence are not new, but returned in the form of a speech of self-defense to keep alive and relevant the journalistic intervention in society |
