| Spanish abstract | En este artículo se analizan dos de los relatos de Carlos Fuentes pertenecientes a su libro Inquieta compañía (Alfaguara, 2004), a la luz de algunos elementos teóricos sobre la literatura fantástica: desdoblamiento de personajes, transposición de tiempos y espacios, sucesos extraños e inexplicables. “El amante del teatro” y “Vlad” presentan una interesante línea de lectura, donde el lector tendrá que ir descifrando los elementos fantásticos y dar una explicación al universo de lo fantástico y configurar la relación que existe entre la realidad y lo onírico y así establecer un contrato de lectura entre autor-texto-lector para poder ingresar libremente al terreno del espacio de la literatura fantástica |
| English abstract | In this article we analyze two of Carlos Fuentes’ stories that belong to the book Inquieta compañía (Alfaguara 2004) in the light of some of the theoretical elements of literature of the fantastic: split personalities, transposition of times and spaces, strange and unexplainable events. The stories “El amante del teatro” and “Vlad” show us an interesting direction for reading where the reader will have to decipher the fantastic elements and give an explanation of the universe of the fantastic and shape the relationship that exists between reality and the oneiric and thus establish a reading contract between author- text-reader in order to freely enter the field of space in literature of the fantastic |
