English abstract | Nonviolent movements mainly characterized by not taking part in and resisting violent practices developed no multiple levels have had a significant contribution in putting an end to wars and oppressive systems. However, it is worth asking whether they have, consequently, contributed to the construction of peace. This article, centered on Gandhi, reflects upon the general contribution of nonviolence for historical changes articulated through Paul Ricoeur’s critique and interpretation of the influence of these movements in the intricate relationship between politics and violence |
