| English abstract | The volume of communities on cyberspace discloses the growing interest in different subjects or social groups to interact and engage themselves in different debates. The purpose of this article is to reflect on the social representations of teacher identities that underlie the discourses from/about the substitute teachers in communities on Orkut. Our reflection indicated that the construction of teacher identity results from a socioculturally produced not only by their employment contract. We identified though the representations to be substitute teacher based on the precariousness of teaching and in disbelief socially spread out about being teacher, which contribute to the consolidation of negative representations about this social group |
| Portuguese abstract | O volume de comunidades no ciberespaço revela o interesse crescente de diferentes sujeitos e/ou grupos sociais em interagir e engajar-se em diferentes assuntos. O propósito deste artigo é refletir acerca das representações sociais sobre a identidade docente que fundamentam os discursos de e sobre os professores substitutos em comunidades no Orkut. Nossa reflexão apontou que a construção da identidade docente resulta de uma produção socioculturalmente formada e, não apenas de seu vínculo empregatício. Identificamos ainda que as representações de ser professor substituto baseiam-se na precariedade do trabalho docente e no descrédito socialmente veiculado sobre ser professor corroborando assim para a sedimentação de representações negativas sobre esse grupo social |
