| English abstract | This paper discusses the relationship of space as the determiner of behavior of the character Ritinha in the novel Pium (1985), wrote by Eli Brasiliense. First, a brief summary of the book is presented. Then, we shall discuss some definitions about space and its function in the novel. The theoretical framework of this study is based on the contributions of Bachelard (1978), Borges Filho (2008), Lins (1976) and Santos (1997, 2006) among others theorists who tread the same path of topoanalysis |
