| Spanish abstract | El objetivo de la investigación fue determinar si la adopción de la Responsabilidad Social Corporativa (RSC) tiene algún impacto en la sostenibilidad financiera en las empresas del sector cemento en México, la cual fue evaluada mediante el análisis del Costo Promedio Ponderado de Capital (CPPC) y las Utilidades Antes de Intereses, Impuestos, Depreciaciones y Amortizaciones (EBITDA). De las empresas analizadas, la que obtuvo mejores resultados en la evaluación del nivel de cumplimiento de RSC fue la empresa que también mostró mayor sostenibilidad financiera; esto quiere decir, que disminuyó su costo de financiamiento e incrementó su EBITDA. Por tanto, se comprueba la hipótesis que propone que las empresas más comprometidas con la RSC mantienen o incrementan su sostenibilidad financiera |
| English abstract | The aim of this work was to determine if the adoption of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has any impact on the financial sustainability of Mexican cement companies, which was evaluated with the Weighted Average Cost of Capital (WACC) and the Earnings Before Interests, Taxes, Depreciations and Amortizations (EBITDA). Among the analyzed companies, the one with better results in the CSR accomplishment was also the company with a stronger financial sustainability, that is, that had greater reductions in its financial cost and higher improvements in its EBITDA. Therefore, is accepted the hypothesis that states that the companies engaged with the CSR keep or improve their financial sustainability |
