| English abstract | This paper aims to describe a research which has the intention to identify and analyze the presence/absence of religiosity in a public school through observing diffuse strategies and mechanisms. The hypothesis that we work with is that religiosity is present in Brazilian public scholar institutions in a veiled and naturalized way, even when there is not the offer of the subject Religious Education. Therefore, a case study was done in a municipal public school in Santo André city. | Portuguese abstract | Este artigo relata uma pesquisa que visa identificar e analisar a presença/ausência da religiosidade na escola pública a partir da observação de estratégias e mecanismos de socialização difusos. Com base em estudos sobre religiosidade e socialização, verificou-se que a religiosidade está presente na escola de forma velada e naturalizada, mesmo quando não há oferecimento da disciplina Ensino Religioso. Para alcançar o escopo pretendido, procedeu-se um estudo de caso em uma escola pública municipal na cidade de Santo André/SP. Utilizouse um arsenal de recursos metodológicos inspirados na metodologia etnográfica, dentre eles, a observação de campo, questionários e entrevistas semiestruturadas realizadas com professoras |
