| Spanish abstract | En estas líneas se hace un homenaje al psiquiatra mexicano, de origen chiapaneco, Ramón Parres, quien falleciera a inicios del año pasado de 2009. Médico humanista y sensible a las artes, desde joven se relacionó con el mundo del teatro y la literatura. Estudió en la Escuela de Medicina de México a la que ingresó en 1938. Se formó, desarrolló y ejerció en el Hospital General de México, particularmente en el Pabellón 16 de la Clínica de Neurología, y participó en la formación de la Neuropsiquiatría. Siguiendo la escuela de Freud, funda junto con otros colegas el “Grupo Mexicano de Psicoterapia” que más tarde se convierte en la Asociación Psicoanalítica (1957) |
| English abstract | These lines pay homage to the Mexican psychiatrist Ramón Parres Sáenz, from the state of Chiapas, who died in early 2009. A humanist physician with sensitivity to the arts, as a young man he became involved in the world of theater and literature. He began his studies at the Mexican School of Medicine upon his enrollment in 1938. His training, development and medical practice took place at Mexico City’s General Hospital, especially in Ward (Pabellón) 16 of the Neurology Clinic. He participated in the development of Neuropsychiatry and following the tenets of the Freudian school joined with colleagues to found the “Mexican Psychotherapy Group”, which later became the Psychoanalytic Association (1957) |
