| Spanish abstract | Este trabajo trata sobre el ambiente global, la salud y la política internacional. El mismo tiene como objetivo principal presentar los aspectos sociales y científicos fundamentales para identificar, analizar y ofrecer soluciones a los cambios ambientales globales que se están suscitando en el planeta Tierra. Además, permite analizar la información social, legal, ambiental y de salud que está asociada al calentamiento global, los cambios climáticos, la destrucción de la capa de ozono, la lluvia ácida, la deforestación, la desertificación, la extinción de las especies, el ascenso del nivel del mar, la contaminación oceánica, la actividad nuclear y el transporte de desechos peligrosos. Finalmente, presenta el impacto que sobre los humanos y el ambiente de nuestra región caribeña, tienen estos cambios |
| English abstract | This paper considers issues such as global atmosphere, health and international policy. The main objective of this essay is to analyze the fundamental social and scientific aspects to identify, to analyze and to offer solutions to global environmental changes that are experiencing the planet. In addition, it aims at evaluating the social, legal, environmental and health information associated to the global warming, the climatic changes. the destruction of the ozone layer, acid rain, deforestation, desertification, extinction of species, rising of the level of the sea, oceanic contamination, nuclear activity and the transport of dangerous bargage. Finally, the impacts on human beings and on the environment in our Caribbean region are also considered |
